Grandpa was off for a week and wanted to see his grandkids. We had swiming lessons early in the evening then we joined the family for a picnic supper in the park north of Loveland lake. KFC was the meal of choice for the evening with a pleasurable browny cake desert made by my lovely wife. The boys then enjoyed a couple of rides on the Buckhorn Northern Narrow Gauge Railway Train.
The train is made up of an engine (powered by a small car motor), three rail cars, and a caboose. It is operated by the local Loveland Lions Club, and costs less than a dollar per rider. Enjoyed by many on this short 3 ~ 5 minute ride it is a summer favorite.
